AYADE TO BUILD WORLD CLASS REFERAL HOSPITAL IN AKPABUYO-Dr Inyang Asibong

The Saving One Million Lives ( SOML) programme for result yesterday took their advocacy and sensitization campaign to Akpabuyo Local Government Area in their continuous bid to reach out to different sphere of the society regarding the programme; the benefits, packages and the essence of it.

Speaking, the Commissioner for Health, Dr Inyang Asibong said  His Excellency, Senator ( Prof) Ben Ayade is very concerned about the health and well being of Akpabuyo people and as such will do everything humanly to ensure there benefits from the Ayadecare program. She broke the news of the world class referal hospital to be built in akpabuyo.

She stated that work will commence in earnest for  the building of mega post secondary health facility in Akpabuyo in preparedness for the Ayadecare program kicking off in the State on the 30th  of January, 2018.

Also Speaking, DG SPHCDA, Dr Betta Edu said the State Health team came to sensitize Akpabuyo citizens on the benefit of going to health facilities to benefit from Health services. Women should stop going to traditional homes and prayer houses to birth, but God and benefit from Health facilities free services  under Ayade care

She said there was need for the people to stay away from all kind of drugs and chemicals that endangers their health such as hemps, cigarettes, tramadol and all kinds of dangerous local drink combination that could affect the liver or lung.

Dr Edu advocated for the women to continue using government health facilities, Long lasting treated insecticide Net for their care as the Governor will continue to bring health interventions to Akpabuyo.

Adding to that; Permanent Secretary Cross River State Ministry of Health, Dr Joseph Bassey said Government has continuously made it known that Saving one million lives program is very essential for all pregnant women and children across the State and as such women should ensure their children are immunize against measles as the State enters another round of campaign against measles.

He noted that the campaign will comes with several palliatives and benefit for all mothers and children.

The Head of HOLGA represented by Head of Personnel, Elder Tony Ene and the representative of the Paramount Ruler in one voice noted that health intervention is very essential for their people and as such Akpabuyo is delighted the State Government has identified some gaps in the system and are working tremendously to close it .

They separately lauded His Excellency, Senator ( Prof) Ben Ayade for his good works in the health sector since his assumption of office 3 years ago.

Olawale Falola  | credits: Olufemi Atoyebi A fake lawyer, Olawale Falola, said he made N6m from his victims who he promised to help secure jobs at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. Falola, who was nabbed by the Oyo State Police Command during a stop-and-search in Ibadan recently, claimed to be a dropout of a university in Osun State, adding that he had deceived more than 100 people with his fake identity.
